It’s Halloween night, and you stand before the abandoned house at the end of the block, ominously nicknamed "Monster Mansion" by your friends. The house looms under the moonlight, its dark windows like hollow eyes staring back at you. Egged on by your friends, you nervously approach the home, the crunch of dead leaves underfoot as you ascend the creaking porch steps.

 

You press the doorbell, and to your surprise, a low growl echoes through the house. Suddenly, the front door swings open on its own, revealing a dark, cave-like entrance. A cold draft brushes past your face, sending a chill down your spine, but curiosity drives you forward.

 

As you peek then cautiously step inside, the door slams shut behind you with a deafening BANG! Panicking, you spin around and frantically twist the doorknob to no avail. Trapped, you turn back to see a faint light at the end of the foyer, illuminating a floating golden key. Just as you reach for it, the key darts through the wall, leaving the room in near darkness. With no other choice, you follow it to a single unlocked door, which stands ajar, as if beckoning you to enter. Heart pounding, you push the door open and step inside…
